“In Agatha’s very own words.”
Why is this article an ad for the course rather than a condemnation?
The verge is owned by vox media which is mostly owned by Penske Media Corporation (20%) and Comcast Former Group Nine investors, including Warner Bros. Discovery (25%). Penske has its own AI but both companies are pretty heavily embracing AI for one reason or another. They aren’t inclined to criticize their own investments.
The editor of The Verge tends to be fairly neutral-to-negative about AI, at least on his podcast.
Her family is getting a bag, personally I don’t judge anyone’s hustle…
I do. Like this:
“Fuck that disgraceful trash and anyone that supports it and them”
It uses insights from the real Christie and is scripted by academics — so the actual content appears to be human-made and not generated from a model that’s been fed all of her work.
…but we slapped “AI” on it, because fucking AI has to be in EVERYTHING, them’s the rules! Would you also like to purchase AI enhanced toilet paper and AI raised cucumbers by the way?
Fucking hell, the AI bubble can’t burst fast enough, I’m so sick and tired of it…
Deepfakes predate the current AI craze, if I recall the timelines correctly.
If I’m understanding it, it’s AI because it’s hosted by the ghost of Agatha Christie created with AI. Written by humans with a virtual avatar delivering it.
