    I was wondering when retailers would do this. American retailers do this with all other large taxes and fees. Why would this be any different?

      American retailers don’t tell you anything. They just randomly charge you more at the till.

        What are you talking about? American businesses are famous for breaking out sales tax, regulatory fees, tips, and bullshit “service” fees to make their product appear cheaper than it is.
