Partner and I are the same! They begrudgingly do the dishes while I absolutely loathe them, and vice versa with the laundry.

The key to a successful relationship is to have one partner that is sort of ok with doing the laundry and one partner that is sort of ok with doing the dishes.

Not to be a spoil sport but rating how good it bad ANY genetic material is always feels icky to me. If we want to fully move away from eugenics, we need to stop its narrative even in case of garbage humans like musk, too.

In my country they tow tram track blockers immediately. I think it’s some sort of ‘emergency’ towing too (arrives faster and is more expensive). If it takes too long, they temporarily replace the tram line with a bus. I imagine it’s the same in many places.

Sure, but I was replying to a comment thread about replacing roads and highways with cycling infrastructure.

Plus, roads are important for the people who can’t walk or cycle as well as for emergency services. Goods can’t all be transported by bike, either. Of course, that doesn’t require multiple lanes. Part should be kept, part turned into small green spaces to compensate for the environmental effect of the road, and part should be used for separate cycling and walking spaces. It becomes a bit more complex with streets that aren’t big enough for all that, of course.

But on the other hand, why wouldn’t I want the person I have sex with to have a similar amount of life experience so we can have more interesting conversations?

When I was a teen it wasn’t the government I was afraid of, but digital devices were just as likely to be read as paper. What I did was keep anything I needed to be private at school, work, a friend’s. Is any of that an option? Would a super old laptop with a fresh OS that you never connect to the internet be safe in your home?

This is genuinely the first I’m learning those aren’t a thing anymore in some places. I could swear I’ve seen them all over Europe.

Except that imagining fields (not forces, if I’m thinking of the same illustrations as you) as lines is very very far from how deep it goes. Throughout physics education, most ppl go through several iterations of thinking you finally understand magnetism, then realizing you really fucking don’t, as it’s more complicated than you were taught previously.
