I don’t know what his next move is, but I have to think he’s feeling a bit desperate.
his only move is cutting spending (actually) raising taxes, and running a surplus. That and maybe dont be such a fucking dumbass.

most of these people arent media personalities, they’ve never had to deal with this before.
putin is still in power, so…
revolutions only come from suffering.
People need to suffer to the point they are willing to potentially lose it all, people have families, they have friends, they have careers and jobs, people need to physically care first.
For some reason nobody understands this today.
voiding all IP law would literally bankrupt the entire media industry, crashing tens if not hundreds of billions out of the industry practically overnight.
Why is it possible to sell copies of public domain books when we have libraries?
because somebody physically produces the book wdym?
btw just because something is in the public domain, doesn’t mean that every variant attached to it is, just the one specifically defined under law, a book that is in the public domain, but also on the shelves of a retailer, might not be a public domain work at all. Because it’s a different work entirely.
I’m not even sure you can prevent the production of a work, just because it’s public domain, you just can’t hold copyright on it, so you could theoretically print and sell a book in the public domain legally, as long as you don’t declare that you own copyright.
IP law and copyright is really important. It protects people from companies, and companies from bad actors.
i mean, i hate IP law as well, i like stealing shit.
i dont always use it to insult others, and nothing would stop me from using the f slur with my friend group either, gay or not.
You could make the argument that it is offensive to use the word, but that’s kind of the point. (not to any specific group of people though)
idk how they haven’t choked on their own spit tbh.
it wasn’t good, you just threw some shit in a bowl and went “ooh argument”
Is it acceptable for a white person to tell another white person they’re “acting like an [n-word]?” Yes or no.
again, i’m not saying that people are acting like retards, i’m calling them one. There’s a contextual difference that you don’t seem to understand.
Now if we’re going to fix that argument for you, free of charge you would say something like “is it ok for a white person to call another white person the N word?” could go either way depending on the context. Heavily context dependent usage.
Yes. 🤦 Jfc, “asking me not to use a slur against disabled people is a slippery slope to asking me not to tell people to kill themselves.” Fucking, good!
how many times do i have to explain that im not using it against disabled people.
that’s true, but i would prefer they be upfront about it. If you’re advertising something, and i’m not getting it, that’s not great advertising.
If you’re telling me i get unlimited bandwidth on a 1gb connection, and you don’t give me that exact thing in return, it’s false advertising. Soft limit it if you want, just be honest about it. The solution here is a bandwidth limited plan, and one that isn’t.
bro it’s lemmy, i’m not the government, it’s just my opinion.
i’m not an example lmao, i’m a retard on the internet. If i was leading by example i would be a successful politician, not here yapping with people.
yes? Legally hate speech is not protected under the first amendment, so by definition something must be classified as hate speech, racism for example. Generally hate speech. I don’t know if this word specifically would be.
I guess you could subjectively classify it as hate speech, but there is a lot of hateful speech out there, so that might get redundant pretty quick.
i think the biggest problem is that it’s a less effective use of time, you could spend that time on something more productive, like building a better community, or improving support for marginalized groups, but no we’re hear yelling about joe rogan being stupid instead.
At the end of the day, i just don’t think it’s very productive.
that’s not how i use it, but if that’s how you use it, than yeah sure. But i don’t.
brain damage im pretty sure.
