A full third of the population is already alienated. It’s not working well for anyone. I’m simply saying we should leave a full third behind in the dust if they don’t want to give up bigotry. These people are not helpless, they know that they’re wrong, and they’re doing this shit anyway. Compromising with them is exactly why we elected a fascist.

Basically, the tools that LE uses to unlock devices uses exploits that require the device to be in what’s called an AFU (after first unlock) state. The data on the device is encrypted prior to that first unlock after you boot. If the device is in a BFU state (before first unlock) Cellebrite/Greykey (by far the primary tools used in this space) basically hit a wall.

Here’s another one. There are cases of places banning charity all over the place. Hell, you can’t give out bottles of water to people stuck in line outside in Georgia if they happen to be voting. They cut social programs and claim churches/charities will pick up the slack, and then attack said churches/charities.

My point is here that conservatives will simply attack anything they feel is in their way. They simply want control. They want homeless people to be homeless because “they deserve to be homeless”. They have absolutely no problem attacking charitable efforts, even if it has no impact on them whatsoever. They want to maintain the social hierarchy they feel should be in place.
