Proton explicitly enabled keeping 2 free accounts on the mobile apps quite some time ago, probably more than a year, so they’re cool with you having 2 like that.
If you get more, you’ll be hampered at the application level, but, unless it’s like a load of accounts for spam purposes, having just a handful shouldn’t get you banned, I believe

Good because there’s enthusiasm for being able to use YouTube music without paying the subscription, but I agree that it’s a shame everyone seems to be more into doing everything by themselves rather than contributing to a single piece of software and keeping it stable, featureful, but most importantly working.
Up to now I probably switched apps 6 times: Vimusic -> Innertune -> Innertune fork -> SpMp -> Rimusic -> Harmony Music
(Plus others that I just tried for a few days at most)
For the most surface level concerns like risking them accessing any app on your phone, you can enable app lock on those that support it. Usually the most sensitive do: WhatsApp, Signal, banking apps and others.
If they don’t, take advantage of the private space which locks apps until you unlock, and you can relock whenever you want
It’s just an analysis of the state of things, I’m sure they don’t say that to mean “everything should be done as I like it”, but observing how poor the decisions of a wave of devs have been in regards to licencing, most likely for the simple reason they just go with what feels more open, rather than delving into how and why copyleft is a better safeguard for the good of the entire community
