USPS is using slave labor?!
USPS is using slave labor?!
How is election security in Canada? There was fuckery in the last presidential election here, and I don’t doubt they’ll try it in Canada too.
That’s the whole point of authoritarianism.
Lol no. You could say paternalism is authoritarian, but not the other way around. Authoritarianism is just about power.
But as an aside, would you mind sharing your age? You don’t need to be specific, just say if you’re over or under 18. I have a… theory about people who obsess over the concept of “paternalism”.
Idk, I’ve never associated him with a hobby. He’s good at pretty much everything he does, and genuinely a good person willing to help anyone. If he’s not working, he’s either doing a favor for someone, or watching disgusting garbage on his phone. It seriously pisses me off to see MAGA turning him into a hateful goblin.
He would probably enjoy a social activity of some kind, but he lives in MAGA country so that’s not likely to help. I’ve tried getting him into gaming, but it didn’t stick. Although, I never thought to ask him if he had any hobbies when he was younger. That’s probably worth a shot lol
People who say this are usually consuming misinformation and propaganda and don’t know it. Anyone outside of those echo chambers can clearly see how it’s dangerous and harmful to democracy.
I feel like we are glossing over the fact that I doesn’t matter that fact if someone is young or old,
Actually if you’re talking about congress and the supreme court, I think age limits would make a lot of sense. After all, the people in these positions are deciding how the rest of us get to live. If they don’t represent the generations they’re governing over, it’s inherently unfair. I think anybody who isn’t of working age shouldn’t be allowed to govern, as that’s always the most important demographic for the country.
I’m jealous. Mine watches far-right extremist content on tiktok and youtube. What’s an affordable hobby that wouldn’t make an insecure man-child feel emasculated?
paternalism
Whenever I see someone complaining about this on the internet, I imagine they’re an angsty teenager mad that their mom doesn’t let them get a face tattoo.
They are using Signal
I just had a thought: are the Signal people MAGA? I don’t think these paranoid criminals would be using something outside of their control if they weren’t certain wouldn’t be compromised. I also don’t think they’re competent enough to self-host and distribute up-to-date app binaries to everyone on the team.
…and if Signal is supporting of MAGA, doesn’t that mean they’re a risk for anyone critical of them? Even if the app is end-to-end encrypted, anyone just downloading the app from an appstore is one automatic update away from being compromised.
She’s talking about angels coming from south america and africa to help trump win an election. Sounds to me like the church needs to be investigated for illegal immigration and voter fraud.
Lots of lunatics on Lemmy.
The good news is that there are a lot of people obviously breaking laws and colluding in and around the Trump admin, so when Republicans get wiped out in the coming elections we may see a lot of them going to prison. No democracy-ending political violence necessary.
kagis
As a Kagi customer myself, I will never not downvote this.
(Warning: Instagram link) Here’s a video of an instance of this
Idk why you’re being downvoted since everything you said was right.
I think it just got popular because younger gamers don’t know how to use computers, and Discord was easier to use than everything else. The client also looks much nicer than mumble, and overall has better on boarding. The mumble homepage for example looks like a developer site.
So if I replace the wheels on my car with monster truck wheels, I’ll be able to cheat the odometer?
FreeTube, Grayjay, etc are better experiences by far
Wrong answer. If your employer orders you to commit odometer fraud, you quit and you sue. Never break the law for your employer.
Actually based. The law firm is going to make a bunch of money from this and pay out a pittance to people (like a $50 Tesla merch gift card or some shit). Charging a consulting fee isn’t going to kill the case, it’s just going to make the law firm slightly less money, and they’d be stupid to ignore such a powerful piece of evidence.
There are a lot of options if you’re experienced with Linux and know how to get things to work/are willing to do research. However, if you are new, then you should definitely play it safe to avoid frustration.
My current laptop is an Asus PX13, which is an awesome value and probably the most powerful machine you can buy at its size. Unfortunately, Asus does not support Linux on its laptops at all, and any support that exists comes from volunteers. I’m very happy with my current setup, but there are some rough edges that come from the lack of official support.
