What are y’all playing?

I played a lot more blue prince as usual, but I also reached the end of my journey. Everything left is beyond what I feel is fun to pursue unfortunately. I’ll keep my eye on it and any updates. If any definitive end is found I’ll probably hop back in and make my way through. But for now I got to where I could on my own, which was pretty far and I’m happy about that :)

Now I’m not sure what to play. Been playing some random stuff on my modded 3ds

Crypt Custodian and Spelunky. Recently picked up Satisfactory, but in order not to sink too mich time into it I only play with a friend.

Despite common sense I bought The Hundred Line at launch, but thankfully it is indeed a very solid game. To the point I spent 25 hours playing it over 3 days. It’s more or less a Danganronpa game, so it might be too cringy for some people, but having gained enough tolerance to those things it’s wonderful. Probably better than DR, but it’s apples and oranges in some aspects.

One “problem” is that the game is really easy, and the whole SRPG part is mostly to enchance the story. It’s still really fun, I think that like with Kirby they intentionally wanted a game that anyone can approach. And though I’m just getting started it also does indeed appear to have 100 endings, I ended up on the romance route from my first set of decisions…

    Just played through OneShot.

Very good little game. I did take a bit of fiddling to get to work properly in Linux, but worth it.

    Middle Earth Shadow of War.

Finished Shadow of Mordor and figured I’d move on. I think I’m having more fun in War.

The level design is much more creative. In War it felt like a mostly open sandbox with a few notable areas. In Shadow it feels like every inch is designed with intent. Especially with how much height some areas have. It’s not a homogeneous wasteland or field, it’s large set pieces.

The skill tree feels a bit better too. In War you just slowly activate every skill and end up quite over powered. In Shadow you have to pick and choose which ones to activate.

The enemies feel a bit better too. There’s a lot more interaction with captains, which are much more creative with better dialogue.

Even though I’m a huge Zachtronics Fan, I never bought Exapunks until recently. And I love it, of course. I get so much satisfaction out of improving my solutions, I often think about it outside of the game.

I can’t put Oblivion down but I keep scrapping my character. Started as a stealth build but stealth isn’t as fun as combat. Made an unarmed fighter and was very impressed with how deadly I was but ultimately decided new weapons and spells are a fun treat that I wouldn’t get to have and I regretted how wacky I made his face.

Presently I’m doing a melee/magic type and I accidentally made him look uncannily like Wynn Duffy from Justified. He’s less capable than previous builds but kind of sucking at what he does just feels right with that face.

I had a random urge to play civ iv, but I’m still too bad to beat the cheating AI. Almost finished with Return of the Obra Dinn now, that one is very unique

I finished South of Midnight, and overall I had a good time, although I wish it would have given some of the later game characters a little more depth. I really liked Hazel as a protagonist. I would love to play more of her, even though this does seem like a stand alone game.

Roots of Pacha. Great game. It’s like stardew valley, but you play as a member of a migrating hunter-gatherer tribe that finally settles down to discover farming and slowly starts building a village.

Blue Prince- I’m taking a break after getting to a certain point. It’s been great fun and the underlying message seems very timely. Gran Turismo 7- it’s my “in-between” game and I like to play the weekly challenges. Vampire Survivors- my favorite game on my phone. I was on a break but I’m back to seeing gem explosions when I close my eyes.

Still on X4, over 150h in now. Got a small fleet of destroyer ships and “conquered” a sector that was originally Xenon owned (Tharkas Demise I think, north of Hatkivah Choice). The problem is that they keep sending fighters and, once in a while, a destroyer - the latter WILL destroy 1 or 2 of my destroyers if I’m not manually piloting one of them

Just finished the Front Mission 1 remake and started the Front Mission 2 remake. Found out why it wasn’t as popular. Playing a bit of Space Marine 2, CoD, Warframe when the mood takes me. I also played some more Bomb Rush Cyberfunk, which is like a spiritual sequel to Jet Set Radio Future.

I’m finishing my parential leave, so most of my time is dedicated to being with my kid. But whenever there is time, I will be delving into Oblivion.
